Quick update

Just a quick update for you guys.

I’ve been very busy with other stuff than music lately, mostly job/date/vacation related, so there haven’t been many updates.
Just wanted to let you know, i’ll be back with more stuff later, but i have to get some things on track right now.

I’ve had a nice gig with DJ HouseContainer for the end of the season for ice-hockey, some pics can be found here.

I’ve also been planning my summer vacation, which will be a roadtrip from LA to NYC, more info can be found here.

So, only thing left to say is: i’ll be back!

Enter the learning cave!

Just a quick update for you guys. I just bought the video tutorials over at http://nickstutorials.com/
From what i can see in a quick glance, they look really professional and they’re really reasonably priced, so i would recommend them!

I also ordered a couple of books on FM synths, so i’ll keep you up te date about them in the next couple of weeks.

And, a quick tip for people who missed the link i posted earlier: http://max4live.info/
Brilliant FREE video tutorials for M4L! So be sure to check that site out!

Not much to say otherwise, i’ve been busy this week, so no updates on Ableton or Max.

DJ meet-up with DJ HouseContainer

Had a little DJ battle today with DJ Housecontainer. Brought some of my gear to his little studio, linked everything up and had a great time.
Unfortunately, because he just moved there, he didn’t have everything in place, so he resorted to CD’s on the mighty CDJ-2000′s and the DJM-800 instead of our usual dual-Ableton setup.
I used my road-kit: MacBook Pro with Ableton, A&H Xone:4D and my Launchpad.

I took a couple of pics to show a little bit of the setup we had today.

My first Max patch

I created my first Max patch! I know it’s not that big of a deal, as it’s only a gain control, but i made it myself by just looking at some example patches.
